Digital Journal # 2

Many people have different opinions about how man and women communicate, in some cases women communicate different from men. Men tend to assert opinions strongly as facts, place
more value on presenting information, are more likely to use crude language and violate rules of conduct, and engage in more adversarial exchanges. Women perceive that contributions that are confrontational are less accepted by others. Jeong, A. (2006).

Some studies, mainly in the West, have suggested that women are more encouraging in their communication styles than men, especially when the conversation is about a personal matter versus when it is business-related. It has also been contended that same-sex communication
between women is more supportive than both mixed-sex communication and same-sex communication between men. Ng, C. (2000).

In other study by Lise Eliot neurologist and author of the book: Pink Brain, Blue Brain. Were she states that women use the left hemisphere of the brain, more then the do. She also states that men when asked a question are more direct and stick to the facts, they do not add any more or less. Women when asked of the same question like the man the answer will be more open and the they will even make comment to support they're answer.

In other case the communication between man and women can be influence just by their cultural, like for example, in some culture the woman can not have eye contact when that speak to men, this is considered an insult. But in other culture women don't even have rights like men do, so this can influence the way they can communicate, because the communication can be only one way not a two way communication flow.

The goal that both man and women would like to achieve can also influence the way they communicate between each other, because if their a physical attraction or even love this can change the way both man and women approach the communication. The men will change their way to accommodate the women and even will hear each detail of the conversation, same as women they will not filter each word the men say.

To conclude, communication between man and women can have different affects, they can be influence by they're culture, their goals, or just they're normal way of reasoning. Like the study's show even right or left hemisphere thinking man or women, can also change depending on what s the situation.

1. Digital Journal #1

What role have I played in a group role; What role have you played in this group?

I have participated in my group activities, both from work and school. I normally will like to see how the group is progressing and them I will see what approach a can take. If the group is flowing and we all have chosen a role so them a will help out with my ideas and do my task, another thing is that if another person has problem doing their part i will offer my help to assist them, and the same if I need help I will ask for it. Know your group helps when delegating the task, if you do not know them, you will have start to know them, to better understand them and the culture or way of operating. Some group member will be need assistants but will not ask for the fear of rejection and loosing the groups acceptance. I suggest that at the beginning clear the area and make sure that the group know that we all work for one goal, even so that we have different task but it will only work if we work as one not individually.

The role a I played in a group is of research, investigating support for engineers on looking for solution on problems the production worker have doing their daily task, accordingly to the progress that they we trained. Another role is data collector for a school project, I had to interview, get all the data, clean it up and present in class.

One minute paper last session

First of all the most important for me the information about the business plan, how to prepare for it. The second, is the small business plan, and not the risk they go threw

The Wal-Mart affect book really open my eyes because I do not know how many suppliers they have bullied to get their price.

The final learning experience is how to under stand the different aspects of a business, how to make decision and plan how to continue managing to improve, it was a very good learning experience

Session 6 Financial Management

In tonight class I learned about financial management team, the resource that this department need to keep the control about expenses, cost, OT, absorption, and other data that this department will evaluate the data and keep all the other department in check. Also in this session I learned about the rewards, how companies keep employees motivated, and also how it benefits their moral, because even if they get paid an motivated employee can make a better product, and will give your company 110% every time.

Session 5 Sales and Marketing

With today session and the team project about market strategy, the concept about how to sell a product or service, this help under stand the different stages of a sales pitch and how many different areas your product or service has to go threw before it actually start selling.

Session 2,3, & 4

Session 2 I learned about small business and how easy is it to fail and not having a great business plan and managing the generate income can create a down fall for the new small business.
The exercise that we did in class opened my eyes on how small details are put in making decision for your business and how things can impact your business.

Session 3 critical thinking is needed to plan for your small business, deciding when and the how is very important because if not planned correctly or maintained the correct business plan this can send your business in to a down fall. This situation can be avoid by managing your group and delegating, and letting your team help out. Getting the right person for the job not taking all the responsibility just for your self,knowing when to ask for help.

Session 4 Out Sourcing
Many time companies need to outsource some time is to gain financial outcome and other is for surviving the critical economy, for the most outsourcing in some cases is necessary to satisfy the customers needs and to keep his confidence to maintain there trust. Outsourcing can sole some problems but also they can create new one's too, quality in some cases is the first thing that is lost when out sourcing because cheaper labor transform into lower quality products or service. So outsourcing isn't always the solution, planning out the situation is required to plan and make the correct decision.

session 7 class topic Technology

Session 7 class I learn about computers how important role they can play in any company, and how the benefit from having them. Computer also are a great way to manage your time, save data, keep inventory, have different level of access, and finally the computer and the software can be use for criminal intention. This is import to monitor and have limit access to some level employees and upper management. All this technology is important to have on any type of company because it would only help it to progress and satisfy the customers and their needs
