My expectation for Integrated Business Perspective is to grow with the knowledge that I will gain threw this course and develop my skills to see the business side, like a different point of view not to only see it my way. View the other side of the other side of the coin.
On the Wal-Mart effect I under stand that the social responsibility is too the stock holder the customer is just the ice sing on the cake. They way Wal-Mart operates is to find how to get the better price for the products and even eliminate the middle man. This helps Wal-Mart control the leverage to keep the price of the product they purchase and then keep it lower than the competition, with this leverage thats how the can keep their prices so low. They buy large quantity at same price but sell them cheaper so the customers fill the need to purchase the product at a lower price than the competition. Another thing Wal-Mart does is pay their employees low wages and this is another way to keep their prices so low.
In conclusion Wal-Mart buys big, sell low and keeps the customers happy to purchase what they need. Their social responsibility in my opinion is to the stock holder, the customers are just a bonus.
